| Description The AFI (American Film Institute) Film Festival is LA’s presentation of the “most significant” films of the past year. The AFA festival has been running since 2000 and is highly attended by industry professionals and film fans alike. This year’s selections include Werner Herzog’s “The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call, New Orleans,” “Claude Chabrol’s “Bellamy,” Maren Ade’s “Everyone Else,” Michael Hoffman’s “The Last Station,” Ken Loach’s “Looking for Eric,” Bong Joon-ho’s “Mother,” Corneliu Porumbiu’s “Police, Adjective,” and more. Wes Anderson’s “Fantastic Mr. Fox” is slated to open the film festival.
The AFI festival will be held at the Hollywood’s Mann Chinese 6 Theatre from October 30th to November 7th. Tickets can be purchased online at AFI.com, by phone at 1-866-AFI-FEST, or in person at the Festival Will Call desk in the Hollywood and Highland Center's Mann Chinese 6 Theatre main lobby on the third level. |
