Question: Where can trivia enthusiasts test their knowledge and win free drinks while they’re at it? Answer: At several Los Angeles bars and taverns across the city. Here are some of our favorites.

Little Bar
This Miracle Mile bar might be on the small side, but its weekly Saturday night trivia event attracts a big and fun crowd. Starting at 8pm, teams made up of six people face off in several rounds of questions to win prizes, including free rounds of beer. The bar also offers darts for those who would rather flex their bar sports muscles.

1739 Public House
Many Los Feliz residents come to this Vermont Avenue gastropub to watch sports, but on Wednesday nights, it’s all about the trivia. Teams face off at 8pm. Patrons who arrive early can get free pizza, part of Public House’s daily happy hour from 3pm to 7pm.

The Irish Times
This traditional Irish pub hosts weekly trivia nights on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9pm in Palms, where the prizes are dollars off the winning team’s bill. First-place winners receive $30 bucks off, while second gets $20 off and third gets $10 deducted. All teams, however, can indulge in the bar’s trivia night specials: $20 beer buckets and $5 Buffalo wings.

O’Brien’s Pub
Wednesday nights at O’Brien’s is the spot for serious trivia fans, including many former Jeopardy! Contestants who often compete at this Santa Monica pub on Main Street. The challenging questions get started at 8pm, followed by live music at 10pm.

T Boyle’s Tavern
On Sunday and Tuesday nights, T. Boyle’s in Pasadena hosts rounds of trivia from 8pm to 10pm. After trivia, quizmasters can enjoy a game of pool, or shuffleboard or darts at the bar. The large bar has a main entrance in an alley off Catalina Avenue near the Ice House.
