This Rancho Palos Verdes resort is sprawled across 102 acres of the South Bay coast in the former longtime location of the Marineland of the Pacific oceanarium that closed in 1987. The Beverly Hills Hotel, which opened in 1912 even before the city of Beverly Hills was incorporated, celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2012 and is perfect for an enchanting old Hollywood weekend. Guests can choose from the Sunset Boulevard hotel many lodging options, including private rooms, spacious suites, and exclusive bungalows, many of which are storied – Marilyn Monroe considered Bungalow 7 her favorite, while Elizabeth Taylor honeymooned with six of her eight husbands in them. Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles
Located Downtown seconds from L.A. Live, the Ritz-Carlton offers panoramic views of the city from its 54-story tower. Beverly Wilshire Hotel
Most known as the setting to the movie “Pretty Woman,” the Beverly Wilshire has proved that guests can find real-life romance at the Wilshire Boulevard hotel as well. Guest rooms and luxury suites have full-marble bathrooms, complimentary internet access, and sweeping views of the city. Some rooms used to house Elvis Presley, Warren Beatty, and John Lennon, who lived in at the hotel when it was known as the Beverly Wilshire Apartment Hotel. The hotel’s Swan Lake is the most famous setting for romantic day and evening weddings. The grounds also feature an outdoor pool and a poolside bar. Wolfgang Puck, the hotel’s restaurant named for its renowned executive chef, is best known for catering the Oscars’ Governors Ball, the Emmy, and Grammy Awards’ star-studded after parties.
