Celebrities don’t eat, right? Wrong! Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars can be found wining and dining every day at the best eateries in Los Angeles. The good news is that these restaurants and bars are open to just about anyone who wants to hobnob with the rich and famous. We can’t guarantee that visit will result in an A-lister sighting, but our list includes some of the top power lunch locations for Hollywood’s elite.
This is the one place in Los Angeles where celebrities actually want to be seen. It’s home plate for stars hungry for some paparazzi action, and it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary to see Perez Hilton and Christina Aguilera noshing at table. Located in the mid-city district on gorgeous Robertson Blvd., The Ivy serves up traditional American and Italian cuisine in a simple but elegant atmosphere. It’s especially popular with those who wish to impress their loved ones or dates. Their swordfish tacos and the purred fruit drink is almost as famous as the clientele.
Urth Café (West Hollywood)
The Urth Café is an all-purpose café, restaurant and bakery that brings together eclectic flavors, traditional favorites and refreshing beverages to its guests. Serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, the Urth Café has locations in West Hollywood and Downtown Los Angeles, but the West Hollywood location is the best bet for a glimpse of some of the hottest stars living in the area. Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Jon Krasinski and Jessica Alba have all been spotted there picking up a favorite slice of cake or sipping on Spanish Lattes. Parking can be a chore, and plenty of quarters are required for the nearby meters. Who wants to run off to feed the machine while A-listers are nearby?
The Griddle Café
Griddle Café, located on historic in West Hollywood, only serves breakfast and brunch type foods. It’s the perfect place to stop for someone who loves pancakes, waffles, bacon and omelets outside of breakfast time. The Griddle is ridiculously popular and generally always packed, so visitors should be there as early as possible if they want to avoid long waits. Many television stars, including Luke Perry and Ian Ziering, are regulars. Favorites on the menu include Peanut Butter French Toast and Scotch on the Rocks Pancakes (made with coconut, pecan, walnuts, butterscotch and powdered sugar).
