Considered one of the most elite destinations in Southern California, Malibu can be described in one word: paradise. Equally praised by surfers, stars and just about everyone else, this sparkling, coastal utopia along the famous Pacific Highway is visited by droves of tourists each year. As the only city to rival Beverly Hills in the amount of stars who own property within it's limits, many of the sights here are the homes of famous people like Bill Murray, Charles Bronson, Janet Jackson and Sally Field. On sunny days, golf enthusiasts will love spending time on some of the most stunning courses in the world, and surfers will find their own version of heaven in the beautiful beaches and great waves. The Malibu Pier is one of the most popular locations for shopping and dining.

Zuma Beach

Zuma Beach, located in Malibu, CA, is one of the most famous and popular beaches in Southern California. The drive down the Pacific Coast Highway by itself is a gorgeous way to take in the Southern California scenery. Zuma's white sands stretch for almost 3 miles long and have been used in such famous movies as "Planet of the Apes." Remember the scene where Charlton Heston finds the Statue of Liberty at the end of the film? That's Zuma Beach! This beautiful stretch of oceanfront in Los Angeles has also been used since the 1940's to host the international lifeguard competitions and to this day still sponsors major volleyball tournaments. If in the mood for a little exercise, one can always hike up the cliff at Point Dume for a beautiful and breathtaking view of the ocean. Volleyball courts are also on site at the beach.

Point Mugu State Park

Point Mugu State Park, in Malibu, is located in the Santa Monica Mountains. Enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year, the park features five miles of ocean shoreline with lots of rocky bluffs, sandy beaches, sand dunes, hills and uplands to explore. The 13,300-acre park includes the jagged pinnacles of the Boney Mountains State Wilderness Area. At this Los Angeles attraction, there are more than 70 miles of hiking trails for all visitors to enjoy, campsites available by reservation and ample opportunities to enjoy swimming, body surfing and surf fishing in the beautiful waters. Point Mugu State Park also now offers AT&T Wi-Fi service for those that need to either do a little work while relaxing or just like having internet access with them at all times. The service can be accessed from within a 150-foot range base of the Sycamore Cove Ranger Station.
