Description
Death Cab for Cutie may go down in history as one of indie-rock's best known quartets. Beginning as lead singer Ben Gibbard's solo-project and later gaining rapid local success, Gibbard expanded the group to include lead guitarist and producer Chris Walla, bassist Nick Harmer and drummer Nathan Good. While Good was later replaced by Michael Schorr, the group gained steady momentum, producing touching, sensitive, and expertly written alternative rock. Death Cab has indeed come a long way in their career, and tonight they're due at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, acoustic duo Tegan and Sara and The New Pornographers.
