LA’s best Halloween parties offer everything from glitzy Hollywood nightclub parties to massive EDM festivals within a short drive. Whether people are into drinking and being scared, drinking and dancing the night away, or drinking and looking cute in their costume, there’s a party for everyone.
October 25 to Nov. 1: Halloween at The W
The W, Hollywood
The W is going all out with three nights of festivities to celebrate the holiday. The partying kicks off October 25 with a Halloween Fiesta with parties throughout the hotel. On Halloween there will be a costume party, and hip hop, house and top 40 DJs. On November 1, the party returns with the Dia De Los Made Party.
October 25: Night of the Living Zoo
Los Angeles Zoo, Griffith Park
This adults only party features sounds by the So-Cal Rocket Dynamics and DJ Johnny Hawkes, a costume contest, actors performing stories by Edgar Allen Poe, and plenty of creepy crawling animals. Alcohol and food are available for purchase.
October 30: AMP Radio Halloween Masquerade
The Palladium, Hollywood
EDM superstars Steve Aoki and Afrojack celebrate Halloween at the Palladium after Australian DJ tyDi starts the night. Plus, someone will walk home with a $5,000 prize after the party's costume contest.
October 31: Halloween at the Roosevelt
Roosevelt Hotel, Hollywood
This is the bet to join celebrities on Halloween. Last year’s famous guests included Jack Osbourne, Dancing With The Stars’ Cheryl Burke, Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier and Paris Hilton. There’s 40,000 square feet of room to party throughout the hotel. DJ duo DVBBS headlines.
October 31: Halloween Monster Night
Emerson Theatre, Hollywood
Costumes are encouraged for this party with four Hollywood DJs, three bars and a costume contest with cash prizes. Tickets start at $30.
October 31: King Tuts Tomb Halloween
Egyptian Theatre, Hollywood
From the guys behind the nightclub Lure, the 6th Annual King Tuts Tomb Halloween at The Egyptian Theatre features Hollywood’s own DiJiTAL and a night of top 40, hip-hop and house sounds. There will be prizes for best costumes and access to a five hour open bar, a lounge, private restrooms, and upgraded party favors for VIP tickets.
October 31-November 1: Escape All Hallows Eve
The trek to San Bernadino is worth it for this party produced by Insomniac, the same team behind the massive EDC festival in Vegas. Benny Benassi, Tiesto, Afrojack, Avicii, Paul,Van Dyk and many more will supply the soundtrack as festival-goers party and catch a scare with two mazes, Alice’s House of Horror and the Looking Glass.
November 1-2: Hard Day of The Dead
The two-day Day of The Dead festival features some of the biggest names in EDM, including Diplo, Calvin Harris, Deadmou5, Zedd, and many more. This year the venue is a bit farther for us Angelinos to get to. Hard’s venue has been changed from the Los Angeles State Historic Park to the Fairplex in Pomona.
