Los Angeles Clippers

With the Western Conference shaping up to be stronger than it has ever been, the Los Angeles Clippers are starting out to be one of the teams to beat out West.

Yes, the Clippers, and not the Lakers, are making the most “positive” noise in L.A. Tickets to the Los Angeles Clippers have also become one of the hottest tickets in town.

Starting out the season as 7-2, the Clippers have proven that they are more than just the exciting crew that we knew as Lob City. They’re winning games in dominating fashion. With wins over the Spurs, Hawks, Lakers, Bulls, Grizzlies, and the defending champions Miami Heat, the Chris Paul led Clippers are making it known to the whole League that they are on a mission this season.

Los Angeles ClippersChris Paul has been his stellar self, averaging 17 points and 10 assists. Of course, we know what the Blake Show can do. Griffin has been averaging 17 points and 9 boards so far this season. But what really makes the Clippers so dangerous this season is the addition of Super Sixth Man Jamal Crawford.

Crawford has been playing out of his mind as of late. After a disappointing season in Portland, Crawford has found his niche with the Clippers. He has been providing a much-needed spark off the bench for the Clippers that they didn’t really have last season. Nick Young was inconsistent for them last year. Crawford though, so far, has been nothing short of spectacular.

In 28 minutes a game, Crawford is averaging 20 points in 50% shooting. He’s been hitting his threes at 43% as well. This is without question Crawford’s most efficient production in his entire career. He’s allowing the game come to him and plays well within the offense. His production has been the X-Factor for the Clips this year.

Crawford has been destroying the opposing teams’ 2nd unit. Often, he outscores the opposing team’s entire bench. His presence gives the Clippers a lot of depth.

Oh, and let’s not forget Chauncey Billups and newly acquired veteran Grant Hill who are still nursing their injuries. Once they come back, the Clippers will be one of, if not the deepest team in the entire NBA.

Another player that has improved a lot this season is Deandre Jordan. Jordan worked hard on his game this off-season and the results are indeed showing early on.

NBA Legend turned Analyst Shaquille O’neal even went as far as saying that Deandre Jordan is the BEST center in the West right now. Although we know that Shaq is probably making a slight jab against Dwight Howard, Shaq isn’t really making things up.

Los Angeles ClippersDeandre Jordan deserves to be mentioned among the best centers in the West. He has improved tremendously. His offensive game is more polished, and he’s more active on the boards. He and Blake Griffin are definitely a force to be reckoned with in the interior.

The Clippers last season compared to this season is night and day. Right now, the Clippers are poised to make the playoffs and finish with home court advantage. They have a chance to be anywhere from 1st-4th seed in the West.

For now, Clippers fans should just enjoy the ride and root for the team. The Lakers are still looking lost, while the Clippers are playing amazing. Without question, the Clippers have arrived.

Are they the new Kings of L.A though? Only a championship will make that question debatable.
