Description
Epstein, a photographer, magazine art director and artist from Los Angeles, has been photographing queer culture across the country since 1969. His documentation of the people and events that have contributed to LGBT culture in the U.S. has been widely praised since he began snapping images of Chicago’s first pride parade in the early 1970s. The images which document novelists or artists, actors, photographers, tattoo artists, and ordinary citizens offers an in-depth examination of how queer culture has evolved over the last 40 years.

An opening event for Queer Culture will be held on September 26, 2009 at ONE Archives Gallery & Museum from 5:00-8:00 p.m. ONE Archives Gallery & Museum
